Ms. Boothby’s practice focuses on tax and estate planning for family and closely held businesses, including gift and estate planning and using corporations, limited liability companies and partnership entities. Ms. Boothby was the principal attorney with respect to numerous favorable Private Letter Rulings from the Internal Revenue Service concerning complex issues of federal estate law. Ms. Boothby has also had experience in the areas of charitable giving and estate administration. She is a member of the Firm’s Tax and Estate Planning Practice Group. Before joining the practice of BW&E, Ms. Boothby was associated with the law firm of Baker and Hostetler LLP. Ms. Boothby graduated from the University of Colorado, Magna Cum Laude, in 1974. She received her J.D. in 1977 from Lewis & Clark Law School, NW School of Law. In 1984, she received her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver.
