David R. Eason's practice emphasizes commercial litigation, legal ethics, and civil trials and appeals. He has handled cases involving real estate use and development, products and professional liability, anti-trust, banking and trust company regulation, card and payment processing, securities regulation and corporate governance, bankruptcy, and environmental liability. He has lectured frequently on matters of professional responsibility and legal ethics, and recently completed his second term as a member of the Committee on Conduct of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. In 2001, he was appointed a Special Assistant Attorney General to represent the University of Colorado.

Mr. Eason graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1981. Following graduation from law school, he was a law clerk to the Honorable John P. Moore, judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. Prior to joining the firm he was a shareholder in the law firm of Eason, Sprague & Wilson, a predecessor to the firm. He was admitted to the Colorado State Bar in 1981, and subsequently was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.

In 1989, 1990, and 1991, he was an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado School of Law. He was born March 21, 1954.
