Bruce E. Rhode was raised in Minnesota. He recieved his B.S in Finace from the University of Colorado School of Business and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law. After law school, Mr. Rohde immediately gained a range of trial experience, trying many cases involving breach of warranty, fraud, and other commercial disputes, personal injury medical malpractice, products liability and wrongful death, and performing workouts for Denver's major banks. His expertise has expanded to include most areas of commercial litigation. Mr. Rohde serves as lead counsel in substantial cases involving fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, bankruptcy, beach of contract, construction defects, intellectual property, securities liability, toxic torts and sick buildings. He has tried nearly one hundred cases to verdict, including dozens of jury trials, and has obtained seven-figure settlements and verdicts. Mr. Rohde's milestones include: a jury verdict of over $3 million in actual and punitive damages for misappropriation of trade secrets in 1998; a defense verdict in a bankruptcy case involving a claim of over $1 million in 1998; a jury verdict of over $12 million in actual and punitive damages for fraud in connection with the sale of bonds in 1999; a jury verdict of over $1 million in actual damages, interst, and costs in a case involving a real estate development near Vail, Colorado, in 2000; an arbitation award of approximately $1,750,000 in a breach of contract case in 2002; a jury verdict of over $1,500,000 in a landlord-tenant dispute in 2003; a seven-figure settlement just prior to a jury verdict in a wrongful death case in 2004; an over $1,500,000 verdict in a bankruptcy case in 2005; and an over $3,000,000 settlement in an insurence claim in 2007.
