A salvage yard is a place where motor vehicles that are no longer used are stored. In most cases they are not simply stored but reused for their parts of scrap metals. Most salvage yards presently in operation will require the owner to get licensed to store and resell parts from old unused vehicles. However if you do not own one of the more popular models of motor vehicles you may have less options when you are comparison shopping.
